If a student has demonstrated an ability to work the problems in the first four chapters of our Algebra I book without a calculator, we suggest letting the student use a calculator beginning with the problems in Chapter 5 of our Algebra I book. However, this is only a suggestion; we leave the final decision up to the parent/teacher.
